I have used Muratic acid on a couple of tanks. You have to be quick to neutralize the acid that you haven't washed out of the tank. I've got better results, at least safer results with a pressure washer. It takes patience and a little enginuity. Then I lined the tanks. I'm riding a 700S with one of those tanks on it. Graham
