The "alternator" on them sucks. Below a certain RPM the electrical
load is still net negative. If you've let it sit for a while, and then
only take it on short rides, or slow rides... sounds like an empty
battery.

Easy to diagnose, jump it from your car when you know it has trouble
starting. If it immediately fixes the problem, the problem is your
battery is either drained, or, because it spent too much time drained,
permanently weak and needs replacing.

If it's not that, then I have no clue. Actual engines are black magic to me.
