I usually think in the direction stator -> battery, not the other way around. The current starts at the stator and travels to the battery for storage. I am currently waiting for a new R/R I ordered (a MOSFET R/R), and when it arrives, I plan to do what is known as a "hotwire mod." This means that the output from the R/R goes directly to the battery (with a 30A fuse in between) instead of going through the entire wire harness.
This is on a PC800, not a CB700, but the principle should apply. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
