I tried to remove the carb bowl today but the bolts were really tight and it
looked like the Phillips head was going to strip, so I didn’t go any further.
I started the bike, but it ran really bad. I touched the manifold pipes and 1
and 3 were hot, but 2 was warm and 4 cold. I then noticed that fuel was coming
out of number 4 where the header meets the engine. I replaced the exhaust a few
weeks ago and after starting the bike a few times, they needed re-torquing. The
nuts on all four pipes needed tightening.
Started the bike again and it ran better. Touched the manifolds again, and
again 1 and 3 were hot and 2 and 4 were also hot but not as hot as the others.
If the problem is the carbs then I’ll take them off and inspect.
Any ideas guys ?
