When the Swift "community" forum announced their latest policing initiative
(diversity and inclusion something or other) I replied that I believed this was
the start of the usual marxist poison.

I was immediately sent to a 'cooler' for three days - I couldn't post - after
which I surfaced again to say, 'where is the diversity, if I cannot challenge a
topic?' after which I was frozen again (within seconds). Thus demonstrating my
point, precisely.

Kudos for the kind and friendly patience demonstrated so far. And if you only
want to delete posts that are deemed 'off topic', perhaps that will help keep
signal / noise ratio higher than it would be otherwise. But I will keep my
scepticism.

I have come to terms with the fact that millennials have been indoctrinated for
socialism in precisely the same way that I was indoctrinated against it during
the cold war campaign - can now see that the exceptional liberty we enjoyed
back then was actually only a war tactic.

It is very difficult to admit to oneself that you have been indoctrinated. And
therefore I do not claim any righteousness, except that I feel very fortunate
to have enjoyed the privilege of experiencing rudeness and irrelevance,
subjective qualities if there were any...

Yes, I think that any open sourced technology that has gone down the 'community
and guidelines' route is not for me.
