For a long time I have had my memory for NW 6.5 set at 10,000 [10 kB] and 30,000 [30 kB] with 384 MB RAM available. I know that's excessive but one of the memory absorbers is the Multiple Undos ability. Also NW keeps itself and files in memory. There have been occasions when a Nisus Writer document has just vanished; I got so shocked that I didn't even think of what caused it.
