Mark, do you mean the kind of thing (or a variation on that) which we have in NW 6.5, or which is available in Weird or AW or whatever? I would think these were a given, frankly. No WP can operate without them. But if you mean something different, can you elicidate?

These features, may or may not appear in the next beta version, but the
fact that they are prepared to announce them suggests that the worker
bees at Nisus think they can implement these features reasonably soon.
Count me in as an upgrader. :-)

In my time using NW, and on the various lists, Nisus has always been open and honest with us. As far as I am concerned, if they say these features are coming, then I am prefectly happy to go with that! These features are in the works!

The only time I have seen Nisus stumble on a promise was in the zoom window feature -- they promised it, then delivered a kludge. But even then, they were perfectly honest with us, explaining that it just could not be done better with the program the way it was. I would suggest it was that experience, at least in part, that convinced Nisus that the way forward demanded rewriting the program from the ground up, and I, for one, am glad they are doing it. I want a NisusWriter which will carry me forward for the next decade!

Cheers
