He means the greatest word processing feature since cut-and-paste, the style SHEET.
Have a look at the information about Panther. There you can find the following sentence:
Create styles
The Font Panel also lets you group effects with fonts to create styles, including color, strikethrough, underline, shadow, size and more. You can use these styles across multiple applications.
I would prefer, if NW X could support that feature and if Nisus Software would link that feature with paragraph formatting (alignment and so on, in the best case in form of the good old NW rulers). Then I could use the same styles (at least character styles) in different apps (NW X, OmniGraffle Pro, ...) which would make the work much easier.
