The subject heading of your post must have given some of us sweaty palms.
But I soon realised it was another instance of crying wolf.
Anyway I see another post from you.

Greetings:

I guess this is for the Sherlocks among you;
I've been happily running an old version (the highest it can take)
of Nisus 4.1.6 on my spare 68040 Powerbook 190 when lately after a crash,
Nisus bugs out after its startup screen, stating due to "Error 3". By
tedius process of elimination, including swapping in and out the Claris
folder, Perefences folder, and DataVis folders and the whole desktop
rebuilding routine, I managed to track it back to Nisus apparently being
tripped by the "Nisus Macros" file, which I assume must've been somehow
corrupted, yet when I create a brand new macros file which creates a new
"Nisus Macros" file, it too trips off Nisus. I even recreated the problem
on a fresh install of Nisus in a separate folder, which leads me to think
that some subtle basic system file Nisus uses to recognize or accept "Nisus
Macros" has been corrupted. Now I can "hide" the "Nisus Macros" file as
"Nisus_Macros" which is missed by Nisus on start-up, which allows me to
open and load it by the standard dialogue box but I can't save it as a new
macros file that automatically lists in the Macros menu on start-up,
assuming it'd even work.
Is there any way I can eliminate whatever hang-up Nisus 4.1.6 is
now experiencing in loading up its "Nisus Macros" file?

        Any help is much appreciated!
