Curt- For the record, this issue has come up before, and has led to long and merry flame-fests, and actually alienated some people. If I remember correctly (I think it was less than a decade ago), the consensus of the people who remained on the listserv was something like this: "We like Linux and related stuff!" How distantly-related you can get before losing people's interest varies by individual, but most of the people on the list have experience with (and interest in) BSD, Solaris, SunOS, HP-UX, OSX, DOS, AIX, IRIX, and/or other worthy operating systems. The average nlugger has broad interests, and would rather hear someone else give a presentation about something out in left field, than give their own presentation on something strictly gnu/linux. I think your presentation will be very warmly received.
