No. You have to REMOVE a filter from the camera. Digital sensors are very sensitive to IR, and must be coated with a filter material at the factory to prevent the IR from getting to the sensor. At one of the local camera clubs, there was a presentation last year by a photog who'd sent his digital off somewhere to have it modified to shoot IR. He said it costs about $300 for the work. Basically, they remove the IR filter coating from the sensor and then do something to block visible light from getting to it. He showed some nice work that night. One of the local clubs met earlier this week. The other one will meet in about a week and a half. If I can make it to a meeting, I'll ask around about who that was.
