Thank you for the quick response, Sky.  You are absolutely correct about 
turning tail and running away from this client.  But an outta work bloke 
gotta do what he can.  I figure that I should give them the real hard 
sell on new desktop systems, UPS and a backup server.  They should then 
run away...

I no got Ghost32 and frankly want less to do with Symantec than I have 
to do with Microsoft.  That does not take away from the elegance of your 
solution.  I plan to take an extra hard drive along with me as part of 
the afternoon's exercise.

I go in search of Dave Manginelli's SystemRescueCD.  Just wanted to know 
if more recent versions of parted / gparted (don't care about the gui) 
are able to work with NTFS.
