Quite so. I make it a habit of never answering questions, or
even reading, top posted emails. Based on random sampling of such
emails, I think that is helpful; such emails rarely have content that
is useful (hint: anyone who does not take time to compose responses in
a fashion that follows logical sequence, or still lives in a world
where online conversations are so few that they assume readers have
context, and would not have to jump back and forth to figure out the
thread of the conversation, are luddite enough to rarely have anything
significant to contribute).
