A few years ago when I worked for a bank we used Diebold ATMs. But the internal computer was running OS2. When the law changed and required 'on board encryption' of data before it leaves the mother board (daughter boards not allowed), OS2 was the norm. Once the 'required change' happened, it was XP at that time.
I have never been a big fan of ATMs. I guess it is like professional butchers normally don't eat hotdogs or sausage. ...
