Procurve 2600s come in 26 and 50 port flavors. Two ports are gigabit and
work with either copper or mini-GBICs. 2800 series switches are all
gigabit and come in 24 and 48 port varieties. Each has 4 ports that may be
copper or fiber. In both cases there's a GUI interface, but I use the
command line or text-based menu. Ebay has been good to us, and HP has no
problem with warranty coverage.

I have a Procurve 1800-24G at home. It has the advantage of being
fan-less, which is a good thing. It has a sucky web-only interface
though. Yes, I do have four VLANs set up on that switch.
