I agree. I'm willing to create a new CVS repository, and spend the time merging our changes in to mhost if/when we get access to that again.
Ruud de Rooij started a project on SourceForge a while ago. http://sourceforge.net/projects/nmh/ Doug Porter posted a few reasons why not to use SourceForge. I think SF isn't likely to go away any time soon. They make tarballs of your CVS root available anyway, and I already have a script mirroring exmh's cvsroot nightly, just in case something does happen.
