Speaking of which, here is my annual forlorn cry for volunteers to step up and provide build slaves to help ensure the on-going portability of the nmh code base. If you can spin up a (dedicated or virtual) machine for the cause, we can always use your help. Note that you do want to run this on an isolated system, if only because you are trusting us to run arbitrary commands on the machine. But the resource footprint we need is quite small. All we require is a C99-compliant compiler, git, python, and the basic set of GNU auto* tools. Most of the current buildbots run inside 256 MB single-CPU virtual machines with just enough disk space to hold the OS and the nmh build tree. We currently build on: FreeBSD 9.2 amd64 FreeBSD 10.0 amd64 Mac OS 1.9.2 amd64 OpenBSD 5.4 amd64 Solaris 11 amd64 Ubuntu 13.10 amd64 It would be nice to build on more than just 64-bit AMD/Intel. I really don't like that we do not have any build/regression happening on a big-endian architecture. (My SPARC build machines went away a couple of years ago.) Adding some 32-bit architectures back into the mix would also be good. If you can help out, send me a note and I will fill you in on the not-so-gory details. --lyndon
