I allocate $75.00 per month to a bucket called, "irregular expenses", for paying things that do not occur regularly.
In early November I paid our personal property tax of $305.55 from this bucket. Prior to the debit, I flowed that exact amount from my salary bucket. The net change should be zero, and it was. My real estate tax payment is due in December. In preparation for that, I flowed $1352.00 from my salary bucked to the irregular expense bucket. Here is where I am lost: >From October to November no funds rolled over. I added $1732.55 in November. From that sum, $308.55 was debited on two transactions. However, when I look at December, only $1118.45 rolled over. This puts me in the red by several hundred dollars as soon as I pay that tax bill. Stumped on what could be wrong!
