Kevin: Have you thought about expanding the function of the reconcile calculator? As an example, I recently had a situation where My transaction list was $80 off from my statement summary. I did the math and manually scrolled through all of the transactions for the period until I found some recurring $80 transactions and then looked into which one was correct.
In this situation it would have been nice to have the reconcile function calculate an $80 difference and then highlight all of the transactions in the list that have a transaction value of $80 for easy spotting and investigation. Beyond this, it would be very interesting to have MW do some quick math and find in the transaction list transactions that equal the difference total. For example, if the difference between the statement total and the transaction total was $85, MW might subtly/not-so-subtly highlight an $80 and $5 transaction to help the user find discrepancies in the transaction list. This feature would obviously become more and more useful as the manual search became more and more difficult such as with a greater number of transactions in the list period or more realistic transaction values. For instance, take 100+ transactions for the period with a difference total of 168.23 which may be difficult to track down manually. MW would highlight three transactions whose total adds up to 168.23, such as $44.26, $82.67, and $$41.30 (or four or five if that were the case). Just my 2 cents (excuse the pun). . . . --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "No Thirst Software User Forum" group.
