Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the reply. But I wonder if the expense buckets shouldn't be
excluded here?

My set-up is like this: my bank account is in euros. and so is my
spending plan and hence the buckets. But I take money out in GBP and
spent my cash in GBP. Since I spent in GBP I understand that each time
I assign a transaction to a (euro) bucket, the amount that is deducted
from the bucket varies depending on the exchange rate.

In my case the amount of money in the bucket that I start with each
month is linked to my euro income and spending plan and those amounts
should not change when exchange rates vary I think? If I put 100 euros
in my lunch bucket than it is always 100 euros. Their worth may vary
with exchange rates (if I spent in GBP) but the fluctuation in
exchange rate should not affect that basic amount of 100 euro I
assigned in my spending plan and hence is in the bucket. The exchange
rates should only relate to the transactions I assign.

What happened when I changed the rate yesterday (with euro as 1 and
GBP variable) is that suddenly several buckets with no money in it
changed to negative. It seems that this effectively means that MW
affects the spending plan.

All best,
Gerben
