Gecko was not designed for embeddability, so it's not nearly as 
easy/lightweight as WebKit for that purpose. Chromeless would be the way to 
go, but it's been left behind (I believe) because of another bigger effort: 
WebRT (web runtime).

I created Node-Qt primarily for fun, but also because I wanted to use the 
Node API and its modules for things the web stack couldn't do. (Of course 
one can always bundle two runtimes (Node + Chromeless/WebRT/etc) and do 
things with WebSockets...).
