Perhaps my memory is failing, but I am pretty sure that I had mentioned
previously on this list that I was aware that some Guantanamo inmates were
released upon review of their cases. The grounds for the release of at least
some of them were that they were apprehended in error.

If someone said they were the "the worst of the worst" it was probably not
me.

The only details of the Obama plan that I have heard is that the prison is
to be shut down "within a year."

The sticky wicket with this plan will be what to do with the remaining
inmates once the prison is closed. I do not have a good answer as to what
should be done with them. Perhaps someone smarter than me might be able to
cut this Gordian knot.
