i am UPSET by seeing that ALL requests about any idea on SAVE AS (name , folder,
etc.. )
HAVE NEVER NEVER any answer from Notepad++ (Which is an excellent Tool !!)
Users should be assisted whis a Minimum CARE at the point of giving a name
to a NEW file AND choosing the GOOD Folder (where they currently work generally
!!!)
THANKS to say if SourceForge FORUM is HUMAN attended, or a simple log-in
machine...

I too would like this ability... also like firefox... wouldn't it be cool if

alphalyrae,
thanks for the info!
Is it possible to make this a default action? I always want notepad++ to open
a new instance when opening an associated file. It's rather complicated to check
through all registry entrys to change the "open-command"-action.

I really liked the functionality of the Explorer plugin in 3.9, where the
"Favourites" menu was more like a project explorer, than a view of the whole
directory structure where my project is stored. I liked having the files shown
in the same place as the folders. I just liked how the old plugin worked, but
I also like the new ability to dock it. Is there anyway to get the old Explorer
plugin with the new dockable capabilities?

hello folks!
I am martin, from vienna. I have version 3.9 of npp newly. Now i have
encountered,
that it completes a second bracket (curly braces), i mean () and {}, with a
closing one.
That was meant good by sure, but i am used to typing them both, then step one
back (just like the ""). I have got a "built in bio-macro" for that. Now i
always
get a third bracket because of that. Can i switch that off anywhere?
lg
Martin

Hello,
I like the purity and the simplicity of N++ very much, yet I'd like to propose
a new feature:
Make the Context Menu integration "Open in Notepad++" optional. I'd would
greatly
help keeping my already crowded context menu clean, as N++ is my preferred
editor
anyways.
Best wishes and keep up the splendid work,
Dirk

Here's the Notepad++ v4.0 Release Candidate 2 :
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/commun/misc/npp.v40.RC2.zip
Please test it and let me know if there's any problem.
The v4.0 official release will be released in 4 days if there's no critical
bug.
