This is also what I am searching for - so if there is an idea how to select
MDX as language, please post here how to do.

Hello,

I know it is possible to search and replace for more than 1 line with Ctrl+R
but only for one file. How can I do the same thing for several files? Is there
a way, like a plugin or something like that ?

Thank you.

I agree. I find that I an constantly moveing the
search/replace dialog around so I can see text in
my document. This dialog needs to be made smaller.

I remember using an old version of Ultra-Edit, and
there was a check box on the search/replace dialog
that would toggle the content of the dialog box
between full and compact. Maybe something like that
would be better.

In the Style Configurator (Menu : Settings->Style Configurator) : change the
font of "Default Style" (in "Global Style").

to, or the last of both?

Both.
That's why it's "last operation directory" rather than "last save directory"
or "last open directory".

How about "last open/save directory"? Or you have a better idea?

In Version 4.1 if i use the search in files function the
fields for the directory and filetypes are never predefined like in < 4.1
versions.

Is that normal or am i just blind or did i miss any configuration setting or
do i have a bad installation?

Perhaps create both. I can remember and imagine situations in which you open
files to be edited from one directory and save the new versions in another
directory.
A single "retain last operation's directory" would not be very convenient in
such a situation, if you save each file right away after opening and editing it.

As you can see, it was not clear to me at first that operation meant open or
save. I thought I was so lucky to find the thing for the Find in Files directory
that bugged me.

I guess you could create two options, "retain file open dialog directory" and
"retain file save dialog directory".

Alternatively, you may also allow the ability to specify what to do for newly
created files. If the retain option is on for the save directory, should the
file save dialog for new files start from the last saved to directory, which
may be changing by saving one of the other files, or from a specified directory.
This would introduce a third option: "retain save directory for new files".
This option could be enabled, dependent on the "retain file save dialog
directory"
option being checked.

It seems to me that, when overwriting files (saving again instead of "as"),
the last save directory would change also. So the word dialog in the name of
the options wouldn't be fully correct. On the other hand, this option is about
the directory that will be shown in that very dialog.

Is there a (default) key combination to delete the line the cursor is on?

Is see CTRL+D, CTRL+I, CTRL+J, which I think may be very handy, but I never
use.

I, too, find it very annoying that Move Line Down, CTRL+SHIFT+Down, stops at
an empty line. The text line to be moved is left and next only the empty line
will move down. Moving lines up this way doesn't suffer from this.

Also, when moving a line up or down by using CTRL+SHIFT+Up/Down, the bookmarks
won't be updated.

They will be if you cut and paste a selection, i.e. the bookmark will move down
or up the corresponding number of lines.

When moving a line up with Ctrl+Shift+Up arrow key, the bookmark will remain
at the same line number, meaning that it in fact has moved up one text line.

I lose the cursor X position when I do the following:

Search for a word using Find.
Cancel/close the Find Dialog.
The cursor is now at the end of the selected found word.

When pressing cursor left or right, it works fine. The cursor will go to the
start of the found word or stay at the end of it.

But when I press cursor key up or down after the search, the cursor will move
the previous or next line, but I will lose the cursor X position. The cursor
will return to the X position it was on before performing the search operation
(it also happens when you search again by using F3).

Could this be fixed?
