Don't get upset, I know you are a great contributor (and I use your
contribution,
especially FunctionList which is great). But telling me that the solution to
my problems is to port my plugin to unmanaged C++ was clearly a provocation,
don't be surprised if I ask you to port it yourself.
My goal is also to use that mechanism of interoperability, mainly to learn how
to use it. I could just do it on my side without sharing anything... but I think
(maybe I'm wrong) that this example of unmanaged C++ / C#.Net interoperability
may interest some people.
And actually, there is nothing complex in my plugin : It's just a front-end.
So yes, there is a way to port it to unmanaged C++ : you just have to rewrite
everything which is not complex for someone who is familiar with C++. But I
won't do it because it's not my aim (and I'm not familiar with C++ ;)).
Anyway, if you don't want to install anything to display my plugin just wait
for Vista. The .Net Framework 2 is already inside.

Yup, the same for me (0 length), I use N++ from a USB exclusively so I never
install, so all I did was get into the installlation .zip file copy conig.xml
into Notepad++ folder and restart Notepad. Maybe if you want to avoid all the
installation problems - don't. Just use .zip to copy files to a Notepad++
program
folder.
By the way - where is the website's .zip link for the latest version?

I love Notepad++ but the only feature missing is multiple instances.
This is the only feature that stops me from migrating from regular Notepad...
Is this feature already in?
What would it take to add it?
Users should be able to double click text files in Explorer and have a new
Notepad++
instance open for each text file...

Another option is UltraMon!
It allows you to use a hotkey to move windows around your monitors.
Very useful for all applications.
I like to hotlink Ctrl-~ (Control Tilda) to quickly move windows between
monitors.

Is there a way to remove the Windows Explorer context menu addition?
It adds "Open with Notepad++" to the context menu.
However for the sake of removing endless clutter (speed) it should be optional.

I want to add a character at the beginning (or at the end) of each line in the
open document. In the "Find what" field of the Replace dialog box, I specify
'^' (without quotes) for beginning of line (or '$' for end of line); when I
click Replace all, the error message "The regular expression to search is formed
badly" pops up. As far as I know, this is a valid regular expression, which
works in other text editors, such as PSPad.
