Why you don't use one of the Explorer plugins? You can do everytime a right
mouse click on your prefered path and perform a "Find in Files..." from there.
Anyway, I second the remembering of last path too and in addition I would second
remembering of last filter. Maybe Don can change the behaviour like this:
- Everytime the "Find in Files..." dialog will be opend the last filter and
last file will be shown.
- If the user switches between different file types (Perl and C++ language)
currently this filter will be forced by Notepad++. Isn't it a better way to
add it into the history list in combo box as an additional filter? Or to add
a button to the right side of the combo box to force the filter to the current
file type?

Had a hang after submitting.
Checked the thread list to see if it went through. Didn't see it.
Tried again.
As you can see, it wasn't done on purpose.

I'd like the option by default. But, I did add <Item id="41004"/> to
"application
data\notepad++\contextMenu.xml", saved and restarted Notepad++. I don't see
the option in the tab context menu. Do I have to add it under <ScintillaTabBar>
instead of <ScintillaContextMenu> or something?

Yep. I don't see this particular issue, but perhaps there still is an existing

In some languages the block end terminators consist of multiple words. Ex. in
ADA or RTRT Script END IF, END TEST, END SERVICE are the block terminators.

In this script the blocks are determined wrong. Ex. END ELEMENT means a block
end and a next block start together.
The resolution could be the possibility to define key strings as: "END SERVICE"

recompile Notepad++
