I have Notepad+= 5.3.1 set up to clone to a top/bottom view. If I clone an
opened file to another view and then close one of the views, Notepad++ appears
to get confused and either:

a) stops refreshing the part of the window where the "cloned" used to be.
b) can't click in the area where the "cloned" part used to be.

I've duplicated this problem on two different machines. This problem did not
occur in version 5.2. I upgraded directly from 5.2 to 5.3.1, so I don't know
if this was an issue in 5.3 or not.

See the following screen shot for an example:

I'll also point out that the problem persists even after the original cloned
file was closed. The only way to "fix" this is to close Notepad++ and then
not use the "clone" feature. Or if I do use the "clone" feature, never close
the cloned view.

You wrote something about the headers to include for direct linking. How about
to make also the CPP files available like in NppPlugins project. There exist
a common folder for classes like Npp behave:
- Toolbar
- Docking Interface
- Scintilla Interface
- Static Dialog
...

I think this should be possible to implement this code seperate in each project
you need. Hope you understand!

Best Regards
Jens

Hello, I was creating a new Lang for ZPL codes and encontered a problem, the
ZPL Tags are formed by ^ and two words, like this: ^FS, ^FX ^CI ^FO.

But when i configure this words, the CPP don't set the colors, this problem
is caused by the syntax that don't have spaces to delimiter the tags.

ex.: ^FO142,130^CI0^ABN,11,7^FR^FDDESCRIPTION^FS

How can i change the color of the tags, anyone has an idea?

Thank You!

Hello,

>From Notepad++ 5.2 on (5.3.1 too) it is not possible to register file type to
be opened with Notepad++.
As a result, double clicking on file types (par example .c, .h, .txt ...) cannot
invoke Notepad++.

There is an option to open files with Notepad++ in the Windows Explorer context
menu.

The option is enabled only if the file is modified (the disk in the tab is red)
If the file was just opened or just saved it is not modified and the option
is disabled.

Jens,

I believe I understand what you are stating, and for the NppPluginIface files
it should work just fine although the may warrant a project of their own.

There is an unfortunate side effect to having used the boost headers, and that
is extracting only the required files. While creating the ChangeMarkers plugin
I had a go at doing just that and it seemed like such a waste of effort as there
are many required boost headers to get the indexing working properly.

The multi_index_container isn't something I can see going away at this point
either since it provides a functionality that neither N++ nor Scintilla can
currently duplicate. Namely, the ability to store multiple custom actions that
can be done as a group when Scintilla does an undo or redo. Which, just to
re-state, means the ActionHistory isn't just for change markers and can be used
for any actions a plugin wants synchronized with a change index in Scintilla.

Given that extracting the boost headers isn't really practical and hosting the
Npp_ChangeMarkers source without the NppPluginIface isn't logical how would
you like to proceed?

Hey.
I've got a problem when I'm editing files from Filezilla.
The problem is like you can see below, Notepad++ add a new line between each
line:

What can I do to avoid that? This only happens with Notepad++, because when
I open with windows notepad it doesn't show that many empty lines.

Thanks.

Check the line endings by doing View => Show End of Line. I'm guessing it is
[cr][lf] [lf]

If that is the case for each line then do find replace of \r\n\n with \r\n

Most likely caused by whomever did the uploading using the wrong line endings
for the server.

Does any one know a way to change the effect of thr "Edit - Block Comment"
command?

I am using Notepad++ to edit VBScript files. It would be very helpful if the
subject commands prefaced the selected lines with a ' character instead of the
current Rem. Version is 5.2
