I'm still seeing a bunch of unwanted changes in the last pull request (static
methods in MapReduce code being called on base classes instead of the concrete
versions and lots of changes to thrift-generated classes). I'm going to push
this out of 1.7.0 and into 1.8.0 for now. Let's keep trying to get these
changes into good condition, just without the pressure of doing so before 1.7.0
can be released.
