Looking at whether Dreyfus works with the algorithm above: https://github.com/apache/couchdb/blob/8e30f230db96d267178f1b0c7d5317e0979c356b/src/dreyfus/src/dreyfus_index_updater.erl#L99-L113 The purge phase doesn't move the update_seq and doesn't keep a doc away from the changes phase (unless it has already indexed it). Unlike the algorithm above it writes the index updates immediately during purge but keeps the exclude list to avoid re-indexing it later during the indexing phase. The `not_found` part is handled by `clouseau_rpc:delete(IndexPid, Id)` (3,4,7). There is no FDI.seq check so in case 1 we end up re-indexing the document. It's useless work but is not incorrect. If the FDI is exists, we update_or_delete_index right there so we index winner's fields, or a delete if the winner is deleted or emits nothing. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
