Hi Frames and Iframes although look alikes, but both are there for different
reasons. Frames as obvious, but IFrames are rich functionality controls(In ASP.net)
to provide some good benefits. There is no confusion at all, when to use Iframes.
Frames are of general use, bcoz to refer Iframe in a doc is different issue. They
are generally useful to give links to external websites. Giving an example, we are
using an asp.net with iframes as container for our LOV(list of values). We have aspx
pages for our different LOVs needs and we loads them in Container and displays to user
with the help of LOVs. Which we definitely can n't do with frames. I also write u
again(With well documented advantages.), Its generally used to load pages which are
totally external to page being diplayed in main page. <vishal/>
