Hi Alex,
GCE seems like a stable and popular provider and is likely ready to move to
core. Would you or someone from your team be willing to try it out and provide
feedback?
You can get started with it at our [Google Cloud Platform
Guide|http://jclouds.apache.org/guides/google/]. If something on that page
needs fixing, there's a link in the footer that reads "Fix This Page" where you
can make corrections or add more doc.
