PRs, design discussions and feedback are really great in this early stage or the provider :) The code LGTM. I'd only change one thing: could you change the VMDeployment class to use AutoValue, similar to VMImage, VmHardware, etc? This was unnoticed before and now that you are adding fields to the class it would be a good time to fix that.
