Rambabu Bikumandla commented on LOG4J2-3018:
--------------------------------------------
Yes, using the DirectWriteRolloverStrategy config files are rolling over at
midnight with correct date, but In log4j1.x implementation , all log files are
generating while server startup/midnight roll over, so we are expecting same
behavior with log4j2.
We are suspecting, ie: Are we missing any logs during the roll over(midnight )
to next log event occur period ,
I mean, if some huge logs are start writing backend at 23:59 for long time, at
00:00 old file will .gz and should start write to new date file. If the new
file is not generate then those logs might be missed correct? because, NO new
log event happen, the same log event continue to writing correct ?
Note : We have lot of modules that are using one log4j2.xml , based Route we
are logging it.
