OK, good, that's what I thought. Yes, it'll be best to get @DevCharly's opinion here. No hurry--I don't mind this PR baking for a while. One new thought: Perhaps the difference between JTabbedPane and the window system tabs is actually a good thing? Especially in the case of the Output pane--it was always awkward to put one set of tabs inside another one. On the Aqua LAF, the tab styles are intentionally different:  There's still the dialog boxes, but I feel like the old FlatLAF style works well in those, even if the window system tabs in the main window follow the more standard bordered-tab appearance.
