This was a deliberate decision when moving to NBPackage to support in place upgrading. The packages and bundle use the same ID. The Apple installer tracks that, so even if you move it it will install over the top. If you want full control over multiple installations, you're recommended to use the zip. Or you might be able to use a tool to extract the .app from the pkg without installing. There will be no macOS installer provided directly for NB26 anyway, so will close this as won't fix. The existing community installers are moving to a new home at the same time. Once that process is complete, it might be possible to look at providing an alternative, such as direct .app bundle. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
