ptrdom opened a new pull request, #523:
URL: https://github.com/apache/pekko-persistence-r2dbc/pull/523

   ### Motivation
`Scala3Next` was added at 3.8.4 in #438 to test the next Scala 3 line. Scala
Steward then moved it to 3.9.0 in #485. 3.9 is the new Scala 3 LTS, so Steward
now keeps it on 3.9.x, and Scala Next (3.10) is no longer tested.

Separately, `+publish` (nightly, snapshots) and `+publishSigned` (releases)
publish every `crossScalaVersions` entry, and all Scala 3 versions share the
`_3` suffix. The latest nightly `pekko-persistence-r2dbc_3` snapshot depends on
`scala3-library_3` 3.9.0 instead of 3.3.8, so Scala 3.3 users can't use it. No
release is affected: v1.3.0-M0 was cut from the 1.x line, which has no
`Scala3Next`.

   ### Modification
   - `project/Dependencies.scala`: keep `Scala3 = 3.3.8` (published, LTS). Add
`Scala3Lts = 3.9.0` and set `Scala3Next = 3.10.0`. Both are grouped as
`Scala3TestOnly`.
   - `project/CommonSettings.scala`: set `publish / skip` for the test-only
Scala versions. sbt-pgp's `publishSigned` honours `publish / skip` too.
   - `build.sbt`: skip MiMa for both test-only versions, since nothing has been
released with them.
   - Scala 3.10 rejects `with` as a type operator, and `-Wconf` can no longer
silence it. Scala 2.13 has no `&`, so the two compound settings types used by
`BySliceQuery` and `MySQLJournalDao` are now aliases in an internal
`SettingsTypes` object. It's defined in `src/main/scala-2.13` (with `with`) and
`src/main/scala-3` (with `&`), so erased signatures are unchanged.
   - `.github/workflows/build-test.yml`: a new `scala-versions` job reads every
`val Scala... = "x.y.z"` from `project/Dependencies.scala`. The test matrices
use that list, so CI follows Steward bumps without a workflow edit. Matrix
entries are now full versions, which changes the job names (e.g. "Test and
compile (3.10.0, 17)"). None of these are required status checks.

   `.scala-steward.conf` is unchanged.

   ### Result
   CI tests Scala 2.13, 3.3, 3.9 (LTS) and 3.10 (Next). Only 2.13 and 3.3
artifacts are published. The CI Scala matrix always matches
`Dependencies.scala`.

   ### Tests
   - `sbt +Test/compile` (2.13.18, 3.3.8, 3.9.0, 3.10.0): success
   - `sbt +mimaReportBinaryIssues`: success
   - `sbt scalafmtCheckAll scalafmtSbtCheck headerCheckAll`: success
   - `publish / skip` checked per Scala version with `sbt show`: `false` for
2.13.18 and 3.3.8, `true` for 3.9.0 and 3.10.0
   - actionlint 1.7.7 on `build-test.yml`: no new findings. The existing
`matrix.COMPILE_ONLY` warning in the MySQL job is also on `main`.
   - No directional test added: this is a build and CI change, and the source
change is type aliases only.
   - Database tests (PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, MySQL) not run locally. They run
in this PR's CI on all four Scala versions.

   ### References
   Refs #438, #485, #506. Steward's wrong 2.13 -> 3.10 bump in #506 was a
Steward bug, fixed upstream in scala-steward-org/scala-steward#4035.
