Not sure if I understand correctly, but you can't have an "unfoldered" metric/column. They're either in the default folder (Metrics/Columns) or one of your custom folders. if you try to just drag a column out of the folder, nothing will happen and it will just jump back to its original folder -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
