A canvas-bound `requiredFirst` filter is removed here before it has a data
mask, while `DashboardBuilder` waits for that value before mounting
`DashboardContainer` and therefore `FilterHolder`. On a reload with no saved
value, neither control can initialize it and the dashboard stays on the loading
spinner; can we keep the control mounted for initialization or initialize it
before excluding it?

Allowing `FILTER_TYPE` directly under the grid or a tab without adding it to
`shouldWrapChildInRow` leaves the new card unwrapped, unlike charts and
markdown. `FilterHolder` then sees a non-ROW parent and disables horizontal

In manual mode this strips `validateStatus` before staging and enables Apply
for any staged mask, so a required filter can be cleared and committed even
though the FilterBar's shared validation blocks the same invalid state. Can the

this picker exposes those entries as filters and then passes the selected
object to `FilterControl` with no `filterType`. Could this narrow with
`isNativeFilter` before building the options?
