Merged latest master in `c8e39142ea`, keeping both sides of the release-note and mapper/test conflicts. Containment dispatch and the single metadata observation are preserved. With #45100 merged, the host metadata generation now reaches both the direct result-cache key and containment identity alongside the producer result-version key. The `hold!` label remains unchanged. Validation: 1,502 focused Python tests passed; the extra query-context run had 143 passes and one known Mac-only `longdouble` fixture failure whose test and production method are unchanged from master. After a fresh `npm ci`, all frontend package type builds, 12 cache-pill Jest tests, and changed-file hooks passed. The previous two failed checks were `check-hold-label` (expected while held) and `lint-frontend` (TS7006 implicit-any errors in chart-plugin control panels). Those plugin files are outside this PR's diff, and the type errors did not reproduce in the fresh local package build. The new CI run will provide the remote result. Merge prepared by Codex and independently reviewed by Claude on the exact committed tree; no blocking review findings.
