Heads up on why the first attempts here never hit, and it's not specific to this PR. The `cache-restore` / `cache-save` helpers from the `cached-dependencies` submodule (pinned to a January 2021 commit) call the old cache API, and every call in these logs ends with GitHub's "Our services aren't available right now" page. The repo has no cache entries at all for the keys that action manages: `instrumented-assets`, `assets-`, `pip-`, `npm-`, and the `playwright-testdata` I added. Only the caches owned by `setup-node`, `setup-uv` and `cache-apt-pkgs` exist. So 48ae275 keeps the dump with a plain `actions/cache` step (same pin the bundle-size job uses) ahead of "Import test data" in both jobs, keyed the same way, and `bashlib.sh` just restores a dump it finds or writes one for the post-job save. The wider consequence is that `build-instrumented-assets` has been rebuilding in all four Playwright jobs on every run, and the action's pip/npm caches have been no-ops.
