That's exactly what I mean.

logs" row?), I don't see why the plugin also needs to link it. Should be no 
reduction in information?

It won't for JUnit, it will be for TAP.  (And, as a reminder, some tests in 
Hadoop generate JUnit and others generate TAP.)
