Given `SyncRequestProcessor.setSnapCount` as an example, there are 20+ usages in test, only `RecoveryTest.testRecovery` restores. Personally, I treat all tests as oneshot and resort to junit's `@Rule`(eg. `@TempDir`) or similars to cleanup persistent resources.
