As another data point, we're also running multiple clusters with weekly restarts and have not seen issues with inconsistent ZK clusters with this patch. I am very interested in getting this merged and was wondering what's left to push this PR through? IMO, this is pretty high priority bug to fix because it requires manual intervention to recover from.
