National Post School Outcome Community of Practice
-------------------------------------------------------
Hi Dawn,
Similar to what many others have said, AZ tasks our locals with collecting the
data and leaves it up to the local district or charter school to determine how
they wish to handle the collection. The local districts do not receive any
financial incentives from the state to complete the requirement. Some local
districts may choose to pay their teachers in the summer for a day or two, but
that is a local decision. As a state, we have considered creating some small
incentives such as a conference registration and tie that to a minimum response
rate based on the number of exiters. We haven't instituted that yet, but we are
considering it.

Subject: [NPSO]: Question regarding providing financial support to LEAs
collecting PSO Data

I have had a request for information regarding how states who have LEA staff
collect PSO data, compensate them for their services. Would anyone be willing
to share the state process for providing financial incentives or compensations
to district personnel for their efforts to collect PSO data?
