Subject: [nsbasic-ce] NSBasic Gets a Welcome Boost from AspriteCE

Hello everyone...

Christmas has arrived early this year for NSBasic users.
I have been in talks with Andy Beaulieu and he has agreed to make the
ASpriteCE package available as an OPEN source project.

What does this mean to avid NSBasic users?

Well, if you had taken a look at this page online for ASPRITECE
http://www.nsbasic.com/ce/info/controls/, you would have noticed that
the link to www.spritehand.com no longer exists.

Andy Beaulieu has agreed to make the original package available
easily for download plus has made the source code also available as
an OPEN source project.

Any NSBasic user that also has EVC++ 3.0 and knowledge of this
developers tool can now be part of a team to help maintain this
ActiveX control and add additional features.

With the help of Eric Pankoke, another long time NSBasic user, you
can now go to www.codeplex.com/aspritece to download the original
ActiveX control for use in NSBasic.

We are looking for additional developers to help add new features as
a team using the Codeplex version control system.

If you are versed in EVC++3.0 and would like to participate, you can
let Andy know via the Codeplex website and help to make ASpriteCE
even better than it is now.

For those not familiar with ASpriteCE can also go to

www.codeplex.com/aspritece

for details and links to see the original tutorial written by Andy
Beaulieu and also download a great game written using ASpriteCE
called Pocket Circus.

All those interested in graphics and game creation using NSBasic
should take a close look at ASpriteCE and download the free ActiveX.

Enjoy
