Hi Pascal:
Really appreciate your positive email and your support with the DOC file. The complete file available for download is the original V6.X version and so is the source code. Therefore what is available for use now and also for modification is the most complete version of ASpriteCE. I have tested the current DLL in Windows Mobile V6.X and is working great under NSBasic. The issues that existed with NSBasic and ASpriteCE was corrected indirectly when new version of NSBasic were released. The current version of NSBasic which is V7.X seems to like ASpriteCE as it was over 3 years ago. With the release of AspriteCE as OPEN source now, it will be easier to make ASpriteCE even more compatible and feature rich. I still find NSBasic to still be the most robust and quick in creating apps for Windows Mobile. I have tried other languages like Visual Studio, PPL and others but NSBasic is still my main language of choice for non database related creations. Now that ASpriteCE is available for improving, the power of NSBasic has been improved greatly. I really appreciate you making this contribution and I will post it online ASAP. If I remember correctly the original version is supporting Tiles, where this feature was not ported to the .net version. And Tiles is a really great feature! Also I can remember that few years ago you were discouraging people to use ASpriteCE, of course because it was not supported anymore, but also I can remember there was something related to specific DLL (may be) used by ASspriteCE but which was not anymore available in the WM version. Did something changed here ? In order to help use of ASspriteCE, I did build from the original tutorial pages a programmer book for ASspriteCE. I guess this could be usefull for everybody, you can add it into your ASspriteCE directory for everybody benefit (this document is the one for the original version) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bob Katayama Sent: samedi 27 septembre 2008 17:04 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [nsbasic-ce] ASpriteCE Sample Requests Hi All: I have created a folder http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/nsbasic-ce/files/ASpriteCE%20Graphics%20C ontrol/ for ASpriteCE samples and posted a couple of my old files. If you have any old files using AspriteCE that you are willing to share with the rest of the NSBasic group members, please feel free to upload them to the folder. With the source code of ASpriteCE being made available now as OPEN source, we expect additions to be available in the future. With NSBasic currently being V7.X, the potential for creating games using ASpriteCE is more viable now than ever before. The old source I have uploaded has been slightly modified from the original source and works great under Windows Mobile V5.0 and Windows Mobile V6.0. There is no reason now for game enthusiasts using NSBasic to hold off any longer in creating some great action games. Let's pool or resources and help the coders new and old to NSBasic to get their creative juices flowing and release some interesting new games using NSBasic.
