You could be right. But consider two things:

1) If mick's aim was to build a squad capable of getting promoted and surviving 
in the premier league, should he really have been considering players like Big 
George or Berra. He chose his weapons to go into battle with but he took a 
butter knife to a gun fight. 

2) if Morgan didn't have confidence in Mick to spend his money, presumably 
because he thought mick wasn't a premier league quality manager, why did he 
leave it so late to get rid of him?

It seems they've both made their beds and know they have to lie in them. They 
have both failed.
