I wouldn't be surprised if there's an announcement before the end of the week. 
Mick's dismissal was not just a reaction to the game on Sunday and so I'd 
imagine there's been some contact made already with likely candidates sounded 
out.

I read an interesting article flipping the 'Who would your choice of manager 
be' question on its head to say 'Assume you get a call from Moxey saying you 
can't pick the new manager, but you are able to give 1 name to be scratcehd 
from the candidate list'.

Given what I've seen so far as the more realistic candidates, that would be 
Steve Bruce for me.

Presumably in the next few days so that they can take control with enough time 
to get a grip before Newcastle.

There's an interesting thread on Mol Mix about what you would do if you were 
manager.  The basic gist of it is that people would pick the same team but tell 
them to play better.  There must be more to football management hadn't there?
