UNCLASSIFIED

Whoever they choose, I'd say there will be a pretty big bonus involved
for keeping us up.

So many names being banded about....

Bruce is a real chance...moving back to the Midlands apparrantly

Curbishly---a lot of people favourite, certainly did the business with
Charlton for a number of years

I reckon either Curbishly or someone totally out of the blue...this
little situation must have been thought about for quite some
time....announcement by the weekend I reckon.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's an announcement before the end of the
week. Mick's dismissal was not just a reaction to the game on Sunday and
so I'd imagine there's been some contact made already with likely
candidates sounded out.

I read an interesting article flipping the 'Who would your choice of
manager be' question on its head to say 'Assume you get a call from
Moxey saying you can't pick the new manager, but you are able to give 1
name to be scratcehd from the candidate list'.

Given what I've seen so far as the more realistic candidates, that would
be Steve Bruce for me.

When do people think we'll appoint a new manager/scapegoat?

Presumably in the next few days so that they can take control with
enough time to get a grip before Newcastle.

There's an interesting thread on Mol Mix about what you would do if you
were manager. The basic gist of it is that people would pick the same
team but tell them to play better. There must be more to football
management hadn't there?
