Here is what I did.
Get a PC or a very small server (I mean small. Single CPU, Single Drive,
256MB RAM), put Trend Interscan on it. This acts as a mail relay and an
antivirus solution. It is perfect for what you want.
Then put it in front of the Exchange server.
Setup your MX records as such
Relay Server - 10
Exchange Server 20
That way ALL mail comes into the Interscan box for scanning and then
forwarding to the Exchange servers IMS. It will also que mail so that if
the Exchange box goes down, you have something catching it all and
holding it for you until the box is back up.

Subject: 2 mail servers primary and secondary using the DNS Manager
I know how to create a mx record
How can I have a fall over mx record
so incase the first mx record fails
meaning the mail server is down
then it sends to the second mx record
where there is another mail server
setup waiting for mail to come
